TV2U International’s streaming platform to deliver 2018 FIFA World Cup coverage

Platform to kick off with the world cup TV2U International Ltd (ASX:TV2) stands to gain from its deal with Indosat Ooredoo which will use the iStream service to deliver full coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The new service will enable live broadcasts of all match fixtures to Indosat subscribers in Indonesia over IP (internet protocol).
Furthermore, previous matches alongside other assets associated with the World Cup will also be available via catch up for the duration of the sporting event. Streaming marketplace for 100+ million users
TV2U-powered iStream platform is expected to become a major on-demand streaming marketplace for Indosat’s 100+ million users, offering a mobile first one-stop-shop for all their content needs.
It will also be available to Indosat’s business partners as a licensed platform for offering premium content to their own users. Targeted advertising and new user acquisition
TV2U chief executive officer Nick Fitzgerald said: “The World Cup will be a big driver in getting subscribers to use and experience the iStream platform in the first instance.
“It’ll result in strong revenues as a result of several subscription models designed to meet different content budgets of consumers in the region. “And it’ll also set the foundations for TV2U’s platform to capitalise on the insights created by those subscribers for targeted advertising, new user acquisition, and up-sell opportunities in the second phase of iStream’s lifecycle.”
