Previously, Gu (former MD) used this lab as the company's defacto HR, and to conduct his seaweed experiments

Following the 'take-over' and resignation of Gu, the new leadership shut down the seaweed experiments and outsourced the management of the centre

This placed the continuation of the lease in jeopardy (because there is no longer any research activity occuring)

In my opinion, they have commenced this research work as a mere pretence for continuing the lease arrangements
