Here I go with the conspiracy/manipulation theories again. The conversion price is $15.09 (90% of VWAP) so VWAP would be approx $16.77. The notice of conversion would have had to be lodged before 26th May as the lowest traded price since then is $17.26 and a large volume was traded on that day (50,358). The share price has fluctuated since then between a high of $22.97 and a low of $18.98.
Mercer would have received 71,571 FPO Shares and I am guessing that quite a few of them have now found their way on to the market. If that is the case then they have certainly helped boost the share price over the past few days (and made a tidy profit).
