Filter presses, are a finicky bit of kit, at the best of times. Nickel and Alumina have trouble with them.
The slightest mismatch, in PH, SG, pressure or feed speed, can give you problems.
The second procurement, will be to bring the plant up to nameplate, not to replace the current unit.
A few adjustments on previous, and orifice size in the bag material, and they will get a result.
I have seen some take 6 months to commission, and adjust. So they are not doing too badly.
