I am a little skeptical of xenograft models of cancer in general as they can often do not translate to humans, but in this case I am less worried. What we want to know from a mouse study like this is if the drug can reach the cancer and stop it growing. Of course until the right clinical trials are done we won’t know if Bisantrene will work the same way in humans, but knowing that the Bisantrene FTO response can be replicated by a really good group of researchers is really important. Our luck continues.
