Will there be a sell down of Scarborough? Who knows? Meg walked away from Senegal because she did not need the cash currently. She was not a distressed seller. Having that flexibility gives the company options and having options is great. If the POO and the POG continue at around the same level for this half, maybe WDS will have enough cash in the bank as a buffer to go it alone on with Scarborough. The other cash flow item is Sangamar. Once commissioned, it could be throwing off cash of nearly $600m for a qtr. That may be the top up needed, with the cash reserves, to continue to fund Scarborough alone.
Now dividends need to be factored in the mix, but having the cash and the freedom to walk away means that she is absolutely protecting shareholders interests.
