The New Murchison King Gold Mines comprises three leases—namely, the No 1 SouthMount Vranizan, the Black Iguana, and the Ophir. 27 Jan 1899.
"The most noteworthy feature of the mine is the increased value of the ore as depth is attained, also the size and solidity of the reef. At the 100ft level scores of feet have been driven along the course of the lode with more or less gaps in the stone,whereas, at the 200ft level, for a distance of 600ft along the course of lode, not a single break of any note has occurred."
