    I have been searching hard for an exploration model to accompany the porphyry drilling at Breccia West. I too suspect the breccia at surface could be a later stage mineralisation event out the side or top of a multiphase Au/Cu/Mo porphyry positioned further west. The coincident near surface Mo and Cu compared to Scott Halley’s porphyry mineral outflow model suggests the potential porphyry could be relatively shallow.

    Sillitoe (2010) has a model (figure 6) that may be very relevant to Breccia West. In it there is a later stage hydrothermal breccia that blows up off the core of the porphyry. Breccia West is possibly eroded down to the top section of the modelled breccia with the porphyry down plunge to the west.
