My opinion is they have looked at hole one veins in the oriented diamond core and decided to adjust the azimuth to vector towards them or other structures/ features in the core. If there was nothing of note in hole one they would have more likely just kept with the planned fence / step out pattern searching for something to follow up. Hole two is “ turned in” relative to hole one and the plan by about 45 degrees. It’s not a scissor or near vertical hole, however with 400m plus years of expansion, compression and faulting, uplift, folding etc, the porphyry could be slanted, offset, telescoped, etc. Note these are just my field observations on roadside 50m from the rig. I judged the azimuth by walking roadside parallel to the rig and lined up the two rig mast support struts directly behind each other so I could only see one to know I was exactly perpendicular (90 degrees to the mast). I then took compass measurements.
