Agreed, but with the direction oil has taken since this deal was put together it would be negligent of AEP not to try and improve it for themselves if possible. With a bit of luck, and holding of nerves, AJQ management are likely to get the result they want.
The only worry for me is if AEP have second thoughts and tie up a deal with Westside for their parts. Not likely, in my opinion, but if other pressures are at work on AEP to make it hard for them to complete, then still a possibility, and potentially a grim one for us small fry.
The whole sector is a shambles, but AJQ have kept it reasonably together, to the credit of management I think. I'm happy to keep backing them, especially with multiple good news stories upcoming.
