BRK raised capital from some primary investors. That's the money in their bank accounts that they spend on wells and wages and whatever.

You bought some shares off someone else in the secondary market on the ASX. Not BRK. Nothing they do is at your expense. You didn't give them a dime and they owe you nothing more than your fair share of post tax profits if and when they come.

It's a business. Business has risk. If you don't like risk, sell your shares to someone else in the secondary market and put your money in the bank or government bonds.
