Do you honestly think that management want a low share price or even care at all about the short term share price?
They are running a business. It's a business. If you care at all about short term movements in the share price, you are a terrible business owner. You do whatever you have to do to make the business a success. Especially if the payoff for you comes in the form of higher share price.
