What a strange chain of events. It does genuinely appear that there are two parties vying for control of this company. Trying to work out the implications of this is giving me a headache.
If the 249D notice is indeed invalid, as suggested in the announcement, David J Wall and Co might call it quits and decide to sell off their shares, which of course could hammer the ETE share price.
On the other hand, if this group are really keen on the ETE assets, perhaps their next move could be a little more aggressive, maybe offering to buy out some or all of the Entek shares?.
Certainly, it will be interesting to watch what happens next.
