I dont think if he did say it, that it was what he meant by it
I think he intended it to mean that he cant take the day to day movements of SP into account when he makes decisions

I did write to IK yesterday, and he sent me a very long reply. I wont copy it all here, but he did say in it
"....As large shareholders of MNM ourselves, the Board obviously has no interest in doing anything in our control that leads to a fall in our share price...."
