nah, no one thinks IVZ will be the same company upon failure at MK2, but "failure" is a broad, subjective term. Also, the seismic in the margins will help cement the case for the future prospects of the program.
I expect that we will get a discovery and that we will flow the well, but if we weren't to, the SP will reflect the bad sentiment associated with no discovery, and the reason why this is so, as well as the data collected from the well which will better indicate chance of success with subsequent drilling.
If the data indicates high permeability, 1000m of charged gas columns, oil, etc but the hole swallows the wireline tool, ... and the SP falls to your forecast 1c, smart investors will buy everything on offer.
"You mean I can buy 5 million shares for $50,000 and when the company announces the next well, I'll have doubled my money overnight?!"
I'd back the truck up with everything I own.
It won't be the same company. Noone ever argued that it will be. But it won't be 1c either, no matter how much you seem to relish saying that
