Heron Resources chief executive Wayne Taylor told The Australian Financial Review he was "surprised and disappointed" that Sedgman was continuing to pursue a $53 million claim on a $109 million contract to build a zinc-copper crushing and processing facility at its Woodlawn project in southern NSW.
The claims were "contrary to the nature of the contract and the legal terms of it," Mr Taylor said. "We’ve obviously disappointed that we’re also late and we’re behind the agreed schedule that we’re working to," he said.
"We’ve relied on their comments and estimations forecasts and so forth that they would deliver for us."
