Realise I should have spelt his name bassat. My average buy in was about $12 and management has done an excellent job over the years. Though as you said this doesn't pass the smell test. I guess why I am so upset is I always rated Andrew Bassat as one of the best CEOs in the country and in the past he has always looked out for us small holders. If it wasn't for the fact I would lose half of my gains in tax I would be out on this announcement.
