Crop volume is up v last year. Costs are the same or lower. Obviously both positive.
The almond price is lower than last year. You would think this is a significant negative. I can't work out how they have sold 20% of the forecast harvest at $6.60/kg if the "Market Price" is between $5.50 and $6. Maybe this means they will be able to sell more of their harvest at a higher-than-market price.
Another positive is that it sounds like the US will produce less next year, so the price will firm going forward ...
All speculation. I thought the SP would decline today.
