It’s not the outcome any of us wanted that’s for sure. However the greater part of Votiro’s sales were coming from the Asia Pacific area and it seemed to have trouble penetrating the USA. This will give it an owner who has big and growing sales and experience in the market.
the 800 million valuation dates from the series E raising they did in 2020. I don’t believe they have done one since then but you would hope it would be valued much higher now. I don’t think it’s realistic to get 20% - that’s at least 160 million and probably over 200 million for a business that has only just reached cash flow positive and isn’t profitable yet.
We get cash as well and I hope the wallies at Senetas will return some to us. I am not wildly enthused with share buy backs - often the money gets spent with no demonstrable increase in share price. I would rather have a return to me.
