They’re either saying the article somewhat misquotes him in which case welcome to the real world and life goes on, or effectively announcing no confidence in their own Finance Director. Notice how they didn’t refute the specific claims in the article?
Selling assets is a positive for the share price, so why quash that rumour anyway?
Either way my point about an ASX update every 5 minutes still stands. It reduces the impact of any serious, share price moving announcement when you announce every barrel of oil you produce to the ASX.
