Ahead of the AGM this Friday, I was just re-reading last year's AGM presentation. One slide caught my eye (apologies as could not cut and paste the slide onto here, so have copied the verbatim text of slide 27 (Scaling Sensen Business) from last years' AGM presentation):
Near Term
• Invest into marketing and sales channel development
• Invest into productization of our world leading products to be sales/distribution channel ready
• Accelerate customer growth in smart cities and casino market verticals
• Target and achieve 100+ customers generating ARR
Medium Term
• Add adjacent market verticals like smart buildings, retail stores, shopping centers, airports and other facilities
• Validate the proprietary platform and make it robust and scaleable
Longer Term
• Open platform to application developers and build the application developer eco system
• This is expected to lead to exponential increase of the customer base and associated revenues
Looking at the last 12 months, you can see that they are tracking to this strategy. I have highlighted those items that I think they are well along the path to achieving (acquisition of Scancam I see as part of the "adjacent market verticals").
The exciting part for this company is when they start hitting the longer term strategy - I suspect SNS will really start to heat up when they announce they are ready to open the platform to App developers as that will allow SNS to seriously start penetrating the massive Addressable AI Market for its platform and product suite. A couple of things will start to happen at that point:
1) the App developers will start talking about the great AI products they are developing using the SNS platform - so knowledge of / broader interest in SNS by various aligned parties & followers will quickly start to happen, potentially driving investment interest in SNS, and
2) the new Apps will start to create market penetrations for SNS in ways we would not currently think of. The level of diverse thinking that will come into play from these App developers looking to cash in on a massive existing market with fantastic growth potential will drive production innovation in some very creative and lateral ways.
You only have to look at the on-line gaming market (not betting, but video games) as to how an open environment is driving innovation in new games at a rapid fire rate and creating Apps which can grab almost immediate attention through the creativity of the designers. There is potential for SNS to see a similar level of lateral creativity.
