Jeepers, what a hell of a kerfuffle over a positive announcement.

C'mon guys, those of you who expect instantaneous jumps in price are living in Dreamsville.

In an ideal world where we don't have thieving pip traders/bots, the price would rise on merits of the announcement rather than on having to experience excessive volatility in volume to achieve significant price movement.

What I believe will happen over the coming days/weeks will be an increase in the volume of the stock which pushes us higher overall.
Why you ask?

Firstly the announcement. Let it hit the market, let the back of the envelope calculations happen and then see some punters get in the action.
This is positive.There's no denying it Martin.
For those of us who've been here from the beginning and know the entire story, we know that this is a significant step forward towards becoming cash flow positive and having profit on the books.

Once this occurs, the big boys will get involved because they're now able to model results.
Shouldn't be too many months away. More positive announcements (MOU's) will aide this.

Secondly. There's a general phenomenon in markets known as "volatility clustering". Some relatively smart individuals won Nobels for it and a few even smarter individuals have developed significant models arguing its effectiveness.

I think we can all agree that with volatility in IAM comes a volume of trades. Volume of trades pushes the price further in whatever direction the market sees fit.

The funny thing about volatility clustering is that it is always more likely to hit after periods of menial non-volatile periods. Just like we've recently had.
A smart man by the name of Benoit Mandelbrot modelled the phenomenon using some relatively complex mathematics in order to capture what he described as "trading time".
Trading Time is on another scale to the regular clock time.

We've all experienced it before. Remember the last jump when money was flying and trades were shooting everywhere. Blocks were snapped up and resold pushing prices up 10-20% in a matter of hours.
It was mayhem. It was volatility clustered into a short period of time.
It's as if the time during the trading day was lengthened considerably to fit all the action in which contradicts the notion of standard clock time.

IMO, we're about to walk into another such period given we've had a relatively quiet few months and an announcement pointing to the future success of the company has been released.
I'm not a chartist whatsoever so I don't know what these guys think in terms of patterns.
If complex multi-fractal mathematics is to be believed based on historical movements in the stock price though, I'd think we'll have a volatile positive movement on our hands.

All the best to you in thinking this is pumping and dumping but I personally think you should consider more to the story than some simple movements in the stock price over an hour-long period.
