ERM wants out of direct involvement in the oil and gas exploration business but there are others out there who would want a piece of the Perth Basin. A very large piece of it the may well be in the offing, who knows.
NWE have partnered with Bharat an Indian company, Latent have partnered with Alcoa, Origin is self explanatory as is AWE.
An Indian company owns significant coal deposits at Collie in WA and exports it from Bunbury.
Are Indians interested in WA resources? Of course, but where is the interest, is a question that needs to be answered.
