I have never seen a company statement as categorically explicit as this:

"The Board and Management are certain that this deal is the most effective way for Empire to secure the best-possible farm-in partners and investors, to repay the current credit facility and to set the foundations for a strong, growing business".

I have NEVER been invested in a company where the Independents state:
"We urge our shareholders to support the transaction – for no other reason than we firmly believe it is in our Company’s best interests."
– Empire Independent Directors Brett Heading and Stuart Brown

Whilst these guys might not own huge swathes of shares in EGO, any Director of any company legally have their "you-know-whats" at risk if they screw-up.
That word "certain" has no room for ambiguity.
So imho, they must be really confident that this deal is a good one for EGO and its shareholders.

We should keep an open mind, and wait for the IER.
If anyone still has questions, just phone EGO mgt and get it resolved.

Hey Surandy, I am not sure if I read this correctly, but did you notice that EGO seems to be stating that the Base Price for determination of the Top-up is 8c ??
If so, that has got to be better than the current SP as the base?

I have said a number of times that I think there will be no top up now the board have stated a number of ways that they could pay the loan back.
