By the 8th of October they know how much gold has been produced, and because it is good news, ie 21,000oz, they release it to the market.
There are lots of occasions where they have not bothered to release the quarters production until the quarterly report. Usually because it is bad or poor news.

I personally find it disgusting as a former shareholder, that if they have these numbers so early after the quarter finishes, they don't ALWAYS release them. What they are showing here is that they only release important numbers when it suits them, not as they should via continuous disclosure. This is another company that the regulators should get stuck into for not following continuous disclosure guidlines, but they won't as per usual.

For once though, the 'news' has not been front run by buying or selling. Tomorrow's opening may catch out a few new shorts.
