No, I'm not an accountant - have been in the finance area for over 30 years with some tertiary accountancy training.

R&D can get very complicated - essentially a Tax off-set with lots of rules. Not only the type of science involved but getting to where a company is registered etc etc. Your question is a very good one though - RMIT and Notre Dame may well qualify for R7D off-sets. It could be that MXC is an overseas registered business and that may affect R&D qualifications that does not disqualify them. Be a very good question to pose to MXC itself.
