Don't agree Scott Beeton came across like he didn't really know the bullet points and really was out of his depth.
A financial services business has to have a great presentation - he just doesn't cut it in my opinion. Came across as a best man at a wedding who doesn't give presentations often and is not that sure of his audience. They have a few people in the group who are very good at speaking so I am surprised they don't do this role.
The subject matter was exciting and could have made a big impact. For committed shareholders, we sat through it to reconfirm what we all believe for the general investor it was decidedly disjointed and delivered poorly in my opinion.
This company needs to face facts - Scott Beeton may be a great leader and or organiser and even great - one on one but he is not a presenter and they did themselves no favours - they should have got an interview with Rachel Jones - after all, they own the majority of the shares in FNN.
See this interview she did - its a style thing but she keeps the focus and flows.
It is a personal viewpoint but really all I got was a large divergent group of businesses, not enough time for him to go through them in detail.
Its undervalued in my opinion and yet that may well be as a result of it not having a cohesive message. At the end of it, I cannot find one thing to approach my accountant and ask him why he doesn't use them...
