Or, compared to other assets. Stocks, bonds, real estate. For an aud investor physical bullion has been by far the best investment class in 2022. (Ignoring individual stocks or companies, broad stock indices are down).
You can hate gold you can come here for validation, but what exactly has performed better? I suspect most here like myself view gold as an extremely beneficial asset class to own that improves risk adjusted returns of a portfolio.
Dabbling in the miners has hurt, and im not arguing that, but to say gold is failing because it hasnt matched inflation.. What in your world has? Traditional 60:40 portfolio has been smashed.
