I am no Tax expert either.
It doesn't matter how much anyone paid for his SER shares.
Think of it as if you bought CBA Cum div....The SP will drop Ex Div by the dividend sum.
The complicating issue with "our" dividend is that it doesn't have a nominal value now...It is in shares which are currently valueless because it has no market.
It is not clear to me,though, if CG tax rules will apply if we sell our "dividend" later than 12 months from acquiring it.
It was mentioned in previous announcements that further clarification of this issue will be forthcoming.
