There are no winners from this disaster, not even the very few shorts, since the fallout from this will travel far and wide through the Australian tech scene. The market is already skittish and what investor is going to want to put their money into new tech companies after a fiasco like this? The whole foodchain down to angels and VCs will be affected as everyone becomes more risk adverse. We are going to see far fewer new companies get the funding they need and more head overseas.
