I don't think shareholders should have to simply live and learn where directors are misleading or dishonest.
If a driver runs into you they have to pay.
If you get attacked the person is up for assault.
If someone sells you a shirt that is mea t to change colour everyday and doesn't you get your money back for false advertising.

Asic really need to grow a pair and get govt support to put in much stronger penalties on directors who lie to the market.
They have directors insurance to cover them.
Where is our investment insurance that covers your investment for when a director is caught intentionally misleading and deceiving the market?
Would be a good insurance product, to protect consumers from dodgy directors.
