NBN work will run a lot longer than 2020 in my opinion. Our suburb is already 1 year behind schedule and is now scheduled for early next year. By the time SSM complete all the NBN install work, the NBN maintenance work will be overdue and most likely a new technology roll out will progressively be required to replace old gear.
SSM will just migrate from pure install to 'install and maintenance' to maintain / grow their NBN income stream.
Their smart metering division will also continue to rise as more and more internet data metering is required to establish the smart power / gas / water grid.
Having said all that, $1.75 is probably a fair price but would expect a lot of profit taking around that level.
Let's see how high it can go before ex Div date
