Her previous two jobs were Head of Organization and Talent Effectiveness and Employee Experience at Global Blood Therapeutics and Global Head of Learning and Development at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Maybe there's a case to be made for having somebody on staff to maximize corporate culture but it seems to me to be a luxury afforded to large companies, not a company like Anteris where all available cash should be focused on one thing: getting trials completed.

One thing I question is payroll bloat. I've interacted with two investor relations people at the company and both were as helpful as they could be, very professional and pleasant to deal with, and I wouldn't never advocate for anybody to lose their job, but there are two IR people on staff, which is very out of the ordinary for a small cap in my experience.
