    One of the biggest destroyers of wealth has been companies getting into businesses it has no expertise in (think the DotCom era, the rush to medical businesses, and the jump to "sexy" commodities (potash/graphite/lithium) in which the board had no expertise at all.

    All and good if the board brings that expertise on board, but ego dictates that they rarely do.
