I think I may proceed with buying the Rights first (about $700), then sell my existing shares and possibly the converted Rights (after considering a risk of a take-over offer which could lower than 1 cent vs. possible growth).
It looks like the current shares might drop in value to be close to 1 cent anyway, if the trend of Thursday and Friday continues.
