My view is that TAS was very silly to not negotiate an extension of the 'timing requirements'. And given that the 'settlement' is only $175G, I would not call this 'in their favour' given they wanted north of $1M...and WCP announcement regarding TAS's claims sets out exactly why.

WCP has almost $7M in cash and therefore had the cash to progress the project further.

TAS has bugger all cash as far I know (haven't looked at their latest quarterly cashflow)...and it can't exactly liquidate its investments.

Very silly of them imo but then again as a WCP holder I'm also annoyed that WCP lost access to the project.
