You have your view and I have mine, either could be right - we were/are not there to know and the players involved will certainly not be transparent about it - so as per a democratic society, each has their own opinion and healthy debate allows for alternate views to be considered
One thing we do agree on, yes AMG could have converted and "taken control" of the board if they wanted to - my question to that scenario would be is that take-over territory rather than having shareholders decide who they want on the board, and if so is that what AMG would have been prepared to do? The bigger questions of why resign in the first place will most likely never be answered,
