I can't for the life of me see what Nearmap can do for this thing?
They are talking about flood maps. Sure we can fly over things (including the whole continent) easily - and that would be lovely and I believe it would be very good for Australia (including insurance companies) ---------- but I'm buggered if I can see how that will help with flood risk.
Yes, the maps we have of the brisbane floods and other floods if we have them would be of enormous value - but other places that aren't flooded? - what use would that be to insurance companies as far as flood risk goes??
Please don't get this confused with my sentiment on Nearmap or ipr - my sentiment is as stated - SB.
