I worked on a water melon farm near Kunannara (on the Argyle irrigation scheme ) back in the mid 80s , they trucked watermelon down to Adelaide , would have thought prawns would have been a higher value product per kg to ship
We were all backpackers paid crap wages so the $150k wage quoted would have been nice especially given the taipans that snuck into the watermelon crates were ever present to bite us .
energy cost should be low the farm is near a gas field plus there is Argyle hydro .
What is lacking is intelligence at a board room level that went a few months ago .
