Interesting thought but banks did due diligence only for themselves primarily based on S&G credit history and considered ability at the time to repay loan. Banks were not contracted by S&G for DD and have zero liability to S&G. On the other hand the DD experts who S&G paid millions of dollars for their advice have their neck on the chopping block. I don't think claims will go away but will be aggressively pursued.
