Zinc price at 14-year high. This applies to the listing in Shanghai. In response to increased electricity costs, zinc producer NYRSTAR halved theProduction volume announced in its three European locations. It dealsthe world's second largest zinc producer. According to NYRSTAR, it's worth itcurrent electricity price level no longer to continue operating the smelters at the previous capacity level. According to Fitch analysts, they wouldWorldwide production surpluses from 2020 for zinc in the medium term, dampening pricesimpact.
