Mate, I am not sure about your trading experience but let me tell you, you Are not as good as you think you are. That is just on the basis of one statement you made,

"I wouldnt be taking the technicals as a sign of an upward trend"

Let me tell you friend, Technicals is the only way you can tell if the trend is up or down, technicals is the only way to find the right buy and sell signals, technicals is the only way to tell if the momentum in a stock is turning from negative to positive and vice versa so on and so forth.

Price of stocks are driven by nothing else but supply and demand in the market. Techincals is the only way to tell whether demand for a stock has picked up or gone down.

Investors rely on fundamentals for investments, whereas traders look for buy and sell opportunities based on technicals. Each to their own..

Do you how any idea how bad the results have to be for this to loose three quarters of its market cap assuming it falls back to 0.1c. And its not that we are relying on only one announcement, DEG has several projects and for the SP to crash as you predict all projects have to turn out to be worthless. Three words, Not gonna happen"
