that’s a very interesting post and something I haven’t thought about before.
is it legal to do the following?
(a) collect funds for a ETF or similar
(b) in advance of purchasing for the ETF, buy up separately and on the side, shares in a stock that you plan to pull into the ETF
(c) bank a large profit when the ETF then pushes up the stock
certainly seems ethically questionable at least
