Hi there , I haven't posted for some time but my view , For a company to have so little cash a buyback does not make sense unless there is another motive. Have a look at FAR they are buying back shares, price has not moved at all. There must be some kind of loophole that incentivizes the management of the company and i don't think its for the shareholders benefit. In the case of FAR they are to receive a contingent payment of $55m in two years or so. From what i have researched FAR buyback is a great way to manipulate the share price so as to keep allow another party to soak up cheap shares. In Far's case A company registered in the Virgin Islands, Western Gate Group has been able to buy during this so called buyback period. 9,128,779 shares total purchased . For such a tightly held stock like FAR the share price did not move.
