There are few reasons why executives and top management would be happy with low share price at this moment:
Performance rights - lower the share price more rights they get. Few weeks ago they canceled 466,539 FY22 PRs (issued when SP was around $20) and allocated themselves new load 2,298,329 for FY24. For every canceled right they issued 5 new.
BB - They have allocated NZ$150m to buy up to 5% (~37m) of shares on issue. To buy that amount of shares with these money sp should be ~NZ$4.16 with current price they can buy only ~25m. I don't know what the arrangement they have with GS or whoever doing bb, but I would guess they want to buy as much as reasonably possible, let say 30m which translates into share price NZ$5.00. So, personally, wouldn't be surprised to see this price range before it will go up.
But it will go up. Some good news will come sooner or later. I guess the first would be SAMR approval somewhere before February. Without this approval the company is toast. So, they will do anything to get it. Then we might have some possible M&A and product line expansion news. China abandoning its lockdowns policy and possibility of birth rate increase. US profitability.... Any of these news could give decent boost to sp.
Plus, next year executives will receive their first increased load of PRs they issued last year
