The Late and Early Cretaceous clastics onlap the Sierra Batholith from W to E.  The reconstruction is from seismic and sub surface wells.  The western area (not shown on this section) has been post depositionally uplifted and is sub cropped or preserved as a thick deep water marginal marine sequence.  Each time slice has the same overall fore-arc form but the details of deposition vary due to onlap position, paleo structure and as Williams highlights in his paper, post depositional incision (the Williams Canyon fill).
