Not sure where you read the 8000 and 9000kwh??
Rocket previously shared:Chinese power at o.58yuan/kWh = US$0.09/kWh or US$765/tonne for 8,500kWh for 1 tonne of FeSi.Chinese total cost of producing FeSi is estimated at 10,000yuan ( US$1,551/t) therefore balance of inputs = US$1,5551 - US$765/t = US$785/t for other inputs including labour.OM Sarawak cost would be 8,500kWh power at US$0.035/kWh = US$297/t + assuming similar other costs US$785/t =total cost of US$1,082/tonne. (this should be close as there is some increases in coke etc.)
I doubt though avg Chinese cost is at 9c, I guess the range is 6-8c depending on location, season etc.
