Management have said that they don't expect any decent uptake from retail shareholders. The issue brought in a decent sum from institutional investors. They way I see it is that the retail offer is just to enable holders who so desire to avoid dilution. However, unless the share price rockets up, the 2% discount is not going to be a big deal maker. Fluctuations in share price will probably see it dip below 2.95 at some stage. That said, the opportunities that could be presenting themselves with Virgin Regional likely to be sold or given to AQZ may see a big share price jump that makes 2.95 a bargain.
We need a crystal ball. I have faith in AQZ management and will pick up 1000 or so in the offer.
