There is another reason I'm sceptical of DFU being treated by mesenchymal stem cells as well and its to do with the fact that its essentially an open wound situation such that things can already be placed on the wound from outside - a large part of the point of a cell is that a cell can go into the body through the vasculature etc.

If you've already got access to the wound from outside there almost certainly should be better things to put on the wound than something as crude as an entire cell. Maybe just recombinant cytokines or exosomes or something would be better.

Any commerical product CYP comes up with has to be competitive against other solutions that are likely to be available around the same time. Polynovo have a matrix proposed product that will allow the body's own cells to move into the matrix.

Now diabetes and burns are different. Diabetes is more like immune / inflammation than is a gross burn which takes out a heap of tissue (after surgery to remove dead flesh).
