If you are going to buy anyway (~$10k or more), it seems much better for both the investor and the company that you participate in the SPP because the company gets the funds to use (either as working capital and/or fulfil orders).

If you buy on the market, you may move the price, but that $10k not in the companies bank account may mean the company (& your investment) may not perform as well

Again, you have to believe that the SPP funds are going towards a useful purpose and that mgmt are being honest about their prospects and this is just not an ongoing slow decline in the performance of the company generating lower profits, less free cashflow and tapping the market to continue to burn money (or worse, pay taxable dividends while the share price goes backwards.........how the board cannot understand this is beyond me!!)
